a little about me
Hey, I'm Kristianna!
I launched Live in the Light Photography in September of 2025; however, photography has always been a passion of mine. In high school, I had the chance to shoot a couple wedding with my grandmother, a profession wedding photographer. I fell in love with photographing weddings and that experience furthered my interest in photography.
I have spent the last two summers as photographer/videographer at a summer camp in Michigan.
Outside of photography, I am a student at Calvin University studying marketing management, graphic design, and entrepreneurship.

what does it mean to live in the light?
People often ask me where my business name comes from.
When I was younger, there was a hymn we used to sing called We Are Called. One lyric has always stayed with me: "Come live in the light, shine with the love and the joy of the Lord." As I've gotten older, it's become more than just a lyric. It's a reminder that life isn't meant to be rushed through or overlooked. There is beauty here, right now, if we're willing to notice it.
I think that’s what I love most about photography
Photography is impossible without light. Light doesn't create what's already there; rather, it reveals it. It brings out the tiny details. It helps us see what we might have otherwise missed.
I think life works like that too.
My faith has taught me that we are all created with love and for love. So when I pick up my camera, I'm looking for evidence of that love.
That's what Live in the Light means to me.
It's an invitation to slow down. To notice. To remember that the ordinary moments are never really that ordinary. They're little pieces of a much bigger and beautiful story.
And what’s really amazing is that I don't have to create that story. It's already there. I just get the joy of helping you see it.
